Mercury Striper Series/Bahrs Landing Tournament
Highlands, New Jersey

Team Atlas Reels/Bunker Down with Captain Ken Zwirko won the American Striper Association tournament held on Saturday, May 15th at Bahrs Landing in Highlands, New Jersey. Bunker Down also had the tournaments Lady Angler, Donna Speaks fishing on the boat as well. Their two fish total of 63.75 pounds was following closely by Team Amazing Grace and Captain Jamie Judy with 58.85 pound 2nd place total. Team Amazing Grace still leads the overall Angler of the Year and Lady Angler of the Year standings. In 3rd place was local fishing Team Out on a Limb and Captain Emilio Santos with a 56.95 total.  Team Andreas Toy with Captain Freddy Gamboa placed 4th with a 54 two fish total. Freddy’s son’s Daniel & Antonio shared the Jr Angler of the tournament award. Team Andreas Toy also received a $250 gift certificate from Bahrs Landing for weighing a third striper weighing the closest to 19.17 pounds which was the year Bahrs Landing was founded. Team Hapi Daze with Captain Greg Nunn rounded out the top five with a 51.20 pound total. The American Striper Association also awarded last year tournament champion Team Tiffany Anne with a cash bonus in the Top 26 and under category.
